ABOUT
“THE PEOPLE’S FESTIVAL”
Zepstone Arts Foundation (Zepstone International Film & Music Awards) is a grass roots, nonprofit 501(c)(3), IMDb qualifying festival with in-person events (Zepstone Arts Festival) that take place annually in September, in the heart of Salt Lake City, Utah.
Zepstone is "arts reborn." Our goal is to reimagine how to support and showcase the arts, including films, screenplays, music videos, songs, podcasts, fashion, dance, theater, and visual arts.
We incorporate elements of these into our annual Zepstone Arts Festival. Some examples include film and music video screenings, educational community panels, podcast listening sessions, a fashion show, competition concerts, annual film award categories, and annual music award categories.
Mission
Our mission is to elevate the visibility of emerging film, music, fashion, and visual arts while expanding the visibility and opportunities for Utah's creative community. We do this by connecting creatives in workshops, festivals and other events. We gather creatives from around the globe to Utah to share their work in our festivals and other events toward exposure, education, and networking for developing their work.
Vision
We envision an arts community in Salt Lake valley that is diverse, inclusive, culturally elevated, and enriched by international and local traditions. We envision a festival built by the people, nurtured by the people, and grown by the people. We envision a world where our youth can build and grow the arts community.
HOW DOES OUR FESTIVAL WORK?
4 ROUNDS, 1 EPIC WEEK IN SEPTEMBER!
Our festival is broken up into 4 rounds a year. At the conclusion of round, we announce Official Selections and Quartlery Winners for each round.
From those best-of-the-best winners from each annual category (shown below), they will go on to compete for annual awards presented at ZepFEST. Please take some time to review the annual award categories below. All other award categories are for Quarterly Rounds.
Value Add: At festival organizer discretion, certain projects will be chosen for podcasts, interviews, reviews, and Utah Music Radio air time.

“ZepFEST”
September 8th - 14th, 2025
Salt Lake City, Utah
Every September, we host ZepFEST, which showcases filmmakers, musicians, and the arts. If chosen as an annual Official Selection, your project will be screened during this week.
The ZepFEST culminates with the prestigious Red Carpet Awards Show, where annual award-winners will be announced.
