FILM REVIEW: “COMPASSION SPREADS LIKE WILDFIRE - A VICKI MINOR STORY”

“Compassion Spreads Like a Wildfire” uniquely tells the heartfelt story of Vicki Minor, a beloved figure who started a foundation to aid firefighters and their families.

What made this film unique was its combination of first-hand stories shared in a documentary style and intercutting it with a narrative style screenplay. This combination provided what was already a captivating story with a sense of authenticity to really bring home the realism of this woman’s incredible charity.

This film brings awareness to a special group that often gets overlooked. The film powerfully utilized real footage of the horrors firefighters face to enhance its direct impact on Vicki Minor. Perfectly encapsulating the title of the film (and the respective foundation it's based on, Wildland Firefighter Foundation, this story clearly illustrates how compassion truly does spread like a wildfire.
